- Total internal program budget (if applying for program support only)
The internal program budget relates specific information about the program for which you are seeking funding.
- Internally prepared profit and loss statement and balance sheet for most recent year end.
- Externally prepared financial statement (audited, reviewed or compiled)
The more complete the snapshot you can give us of your organization, the better we are able to understand your unique situation. If your agency isn’t large enough to require an external audit, your most recent 990 (draft version may apply) is sufficient. If your organization does not meet the 990 reporting requirement, an internally prepared profit and loss statement and balance sheet is required. Federal tax legislation adopted by Congress in the summer of 2006 imposes new requirements for grants to 501(c)(3) organizations that have been classified by the IRS as a “supporting organization” under Section 509(a)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. As a result of this new legislation, we now require grantees to provide us with a certificate as to their tax-exempt status. There are instructions attached to the Certificate as to Tax-Exempt status itself. Please read these instructions and consult with your legal advisor if you should have clarification questions. If you have an outstanding final report from a previous Bohemian Foundation grant award for the program for which you are currently applying, a final report using the Colorado Common Grant Report Format must be completed and submitted with this application.
