It unites our work through these three shared goals and through a strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. Through Bohemian Fund grants, we support applicants who are also working to make a meaningful impact in these areas. This Fund sharpens the Foundation’s focus on these areas and brings our love of popular music to the surface. Music builds community. It unites us, inspires us and changes us. We believe that many approaches, including popular music and popular culture, can all play important roles as we journey together on a path toward equity.
The Bohemian Fund evolved from Bohemian Foundation’s focus on recognizing inequities. Grants made through the Bohemian Fund celebrate our rich differences, as well as acknowledge longstanding disparities. Bohemian Foundation is committed to investing in change and investing in organizations that make change. The fund supports organizations that value diversity and inclusion, foster belonging and strive to advance equity. Our community is well positioned to address challenges and to advance real change. We believe that by working together over time, we will move toward equity and a community where everyone belongs.
Beginning in August, 2021, the Bohemian Fund will replace Pharos Fund, which focused on supporting nonprofits to build a stronger local community, and Muse, a grant program which focused on building community through music.
Through the Bohemian Fund, Bohemian Foundation awards up to $30,000 to eligible 501(c)(3) organizations and government units working within the Poudre School District boundary.
Check here in July for grant guidelines and information about how to apply. The fall 2021 application opens on Aug. 4 and closes in September. A committee of community members, Bohemian Foundation board members, and Bohemian Foundation staff selects grantees through a twice-yearly competitive application process.
