Guidance Questions

1) Can I submit an application to both Bohemian Fund and Bright Idea Fund (in accordance with respective guidelines)?

Yes. However, be sure they are requests for different programs or projects. Bohemian Fund and Bright Idea Fund have different objectives and guidelines.

2) Can I apply to both Bohemian Fund and Bright Idea Fund for the same request?

No, organizations cannot apply to both funds within the same calendar year for the same program or project. You should choose the fund with which your program most strongly aligns. Please reach out to staff at or with questions.

3) If my program is awarded a Bright Idea Fund grant, can I later apply to Bohemian Fund for the same program?

Yes. As the program or project grows and you are demonstrating impact, you may apply for funds from Bohemian Fund in a future round. Prior to submitting an application to Bohemian Fund, the Bright Idea Fund program or project’s grant term needs to be complete and any required reporting must be submitted. Please review the requirements and guidelines of each to determine which fund to apply for.

4) My organization is a current Bohemian Fund award recipient. Are we eligible to apply to Bright Idea Fund?

Yes. Prior or current Bohemian Fund awards do not preclude an organization from applying to Bright Idea Fund. See guidance in Questions #1, 2, and 3 above regarding requests for the same program or project.
