Fifteen years ago, Give Next started with a simple idea: What if we trusted young people to help shape the future of their community?
Since then, thousands of students across Larimer County have stepped into that opportunity.
The Leaders of Today
Every year, students are invited to learn about the challenges in their local communities, meet the nonprofit organizations working to address them, and make real decisions about where grant funding should go.
Throughout that time, they’ve asked thoughtful questions, wrestled with complex challenges, engaged with nonprofit staff, debated ideas with classmates, raised funds to support causes they believe in, and invested in organizations they believed could make a difference.
The Difference is Real
More than 5,300 students across 324 cumulative classrooms have participated in Give Next since 2012, working alongside classmates and teachers to award 873 grants and invest more than $1.56 million into local communities across Larimer County.

The figures above show cumulative totals by category, highlighting Give Next’s impact in Larimer County since 2012. Last update: August 2026
