General Manager of Live Music Operations

We are seeking an experienced General Manager of Live Music Operations to join our team supporting live music. The General Manager of Live Music Operations is responsible for the execution of all operations of our live music events. This role will lead a team with the goal of operational excellence, safety and exemplary service to guests and artists at our two indoor venues and other music offerings. They will coordinate with outside vendors, as needed, and be responsible for the overall maintenance and improvement of live music facilities. The role will report to the Bohemian Foundation Live Music Manager, and the two roles will work together to develop, support, and execute other live music initiatives.

About Washington’s and The Armory:

Washington’s, located in downtown Fort Collins, is a mid-size, 900-person capacity music venue that showcases local, regional, and national acts. Washington’s complements the current music scene in Fort Collins and is an important link to the activities of Bohemian Foundation’s Music District.

The historic Armory, located in downtown Fort Collins, is one of the premier listening rooms in Colorado, supporting nationally known artists and Colorado-based artists. Primarily featuring acoustic acts, the 200-person capacity music venue is an intimate environment with state-of-the-art acoustics, great lighting and amazing sound for performance and audiences alike.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of eight (8) years of operational experience in a leadership role in the entertainment, events, or hospitality industry with a background in facility management. Must be an excellent communicator with strong organization and problem-solving skills. Ideal candidates will possess strong project management skills, along with a complement of leadership skills including effective human resource and personnel management and a lens to address any conflict constructively, and to motivate, develop and mentor staff. Experience managing schedules, conflicting priorities, and budgets is a must.

Candidates with experience and knowledge of the live music industry, along with extensive knowledge in purchasing hospitality purchasing, inventory management and control is preferred. Additionally, a candidate with experience working as a part of or closely with a non-profit organization would be a bonus.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for all employees.

The minimum starting salary for this position is $80,000. All regular, full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, wellness benefits, retirement savings and company match. Additional benefits include sixteen paid holidays, flexible time off, new parent leave, staff education, and education reimbursement.
